§ Case Details

The Collision, and the Defense's Expert.

This case arises from a high-speed intersection collision between the plaintiff's sedan and the defendant's commercial pickup truck.

The defendant claims the plaintiff ran a red light. The plaintiff maintains the defendant entered the intersection at excessive speed and could not stop in time.

The defense has retained a crash reconstruction expert who intends to testify that:

  • the defendant was traveling within the speed limit;
  • the plaintiff entered the intersection against the red signal;
  • the collision was unavoidable from the defendant's perspective.

Now it is your role, as plaintiff's counsel, to depose him and expose the weaknesses in that opinion.
